From our trained fitting professionals who can set you up with the right equipment for your game, or our qualified PGA instructors to help you with your swing, we look forward to serving you as a member of MVCC. We offer a full stocked Golf Shop and member only discounts on merchandise. Please don’t hesitate to ask if there is anything we can do for your game!

Greg Manley

Introduction

Greg was born and raised in Puyallup, Wa. He played most of his junior golf at Fircrest Golf Club in Tacoma and played college golf at Green River in Auburn. After spending a few years playing mini tours in Southern California and Canada he took a job at McCormick Woods Golf Course in Port Orchard. Greg came to Meridian Valley in the spring of 1994 and been here ever since serving beginning in 1997 as the Club's fifth Head Professional.

He enjoys Meridian Valley very much and is responsible for every aspect of the golf operation from teaching to merchandising and tournaments. He enjoys the many challenges and rewards of a Private Club and very much enjoys working with the Golf Shop Staff.

Robyn Lorain

Introduction

Robyn Lorain graduated from Idaho State University in 2001 with a degree in Computer Information Systems. She attended ISU on a full golf scholarship and has played competitive golf since age 11 through both the Washington Junior Golf Association (WJGA) and American Junior Golf Association (AJGA).

Robyn became a member of the Meridian Valley Staff in 2002 and became a member of the PGA of America through the Golf Professional Management Program in February 2005.

Dusty Brett

Introduction

Dusty grew up playing at Fircrest Golf Club, where he won the WJGA state championship three times. Dusty graduated from Bellarmine High School and received a Golf Scholarship at Stanford University. Upon graduating from Stanford with a degree in Psychology, Dusty played professionally on the NGA Hooters Tour in 2001 and 2002.

Dusty is excited to be at Meridian Valley and looks forward to serving the members in all facets of the golf experience.

Ben Bendickson

Introduction

Ben was born in Spokane, WA and moved to Des Moines, WA when he was 8 years old. After attending Mount Rainier High School and Highline Community College he started a career in retail management and spent seven years learning the art of customer service. Ben joined the golf industry a few years ago and comes to us from Willows Run Golf Course in Redmond, WA. He has a strong passion for the game of golf and looks forward to sharing his knowledge with all members and guests of MVCC.

Ben has been given a wonderful opportunity by Greg Manley to learn the business of golf and is very excited to do this at Meridian Valley Country Club. He enjoys the members very much and wants to provide the best service possible.

Brian Thornton

Introduction

Brian grew up in Oroville, WA and played WJGA in Eastern Washington. Brian then attended Eastern Washington University while playing on the Golf team. Brian was selected to the All Big Sky Team as Senior. He has won the Washington State Assistants Championship and the Pacific Northwest Assistants Championship twice.

Brian loves to teach and is excited to be at Meridian Valley. He looks forward to meeting all of the members and making an impact on their games!

Katie Haley

Introduction

Katie grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and became a full-time resident of Washington State in 1999.

Having played golf since the age 5, Katie's golfing career took off when she received a full golf scholarship to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She graduated in 1989 with a degree in Journalism. 1990 was a turning point in Katie's golf career. She was a member of the victorious Curtis Cup team and was ranked #1 Amateur in the country while winning the Women's Western, Women's Eastern, the Dougherty Championship and The Sally Championship.

Katie turned pro in the fall of 1990 and went on to win the LPGA Qualifying School to gain exempt status her first year on tour in 1991. After playing the LPGA tour for 10 years and meeting her husband Steve at the LPGA Safeco Classic at Meridian Valley, she decided to stop playing the tour to be home with her husband.

Greg Manley graciously gave Katie the opportunity to teach at Meridian Valley C.C. where she enjoys teaching players of all ages and all abilities.
