I have lived in the Seattle area for most of my life. I attended Sammamish High School in Bellevue and then
spent two years at WSU. I started working at the Doubletree Inn in 1978 and by 1982 was promoted to my first
kitchen management position of Sous Chef. In 1982, a very good friend of mine, Jeff Ducharme, became Executive
Chef of the Space Needle restaurant; he hired me as his Sous Chef. Jeff left in 1985 and I was made Executive Chef.
I stayed at the Needle for eight more years as the Executive Chef where I honed my skills. I then took an adventure
in Alaska where I opened and ran two restaurants in the small town of Ketchikan. Upon returning to the Seattle area
in the spring of '95, I had several Chef's jobs at local restaurants before once again, I received a call from Jeff
Ducharme to work at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge.
I have since realized that the private club atmosphere is the most pleasurable experience I have had in my
professional career. The opportunity to have relationships with members and understanding their likes and
dislikes is a real thrill to me.
I have been married to my wife Carole for 14 years and we have a 13 year old son, Nicholas. During my off time
I enjoy spending time with my family, golfing and my true passion of salmon fishing. If you want to see some
lunkers, stop by my office and I'll show you some great pictures of my fishing outings - looking forward to serving you.
